Visiting Bratislava is worthwhile in several ways. Apart from the many inviting shop windows and quiet streets of the old town, when strolling through the city you will also come across interesting sculptures such as "Čumil, the Gazer", who looks out of a manhole. His head is polished brightly as this is said to bring good luck. However, the head also serves as a seat for tourists who like to be photographed.

Bratislava Castle towers high above the city. It is located in the southern part of the Little Carpathians and from here you have a fantastic view over the Danube. The castle hill was already populated in the Stone Age and Celts, Germanic tribes and Romans also lived here.
