NFT 005: Machu Picchu in Peru

You can reach the Inca city of Machu Picchu from Cusco by train that goes to Aquas Calientes. From there, the serpentine bus takes you up to the city. Machu Picchu can also be reached on authentic paths via the Inca Trail (Camino Inca) - a multi-day hike over several high passes along the Urubamba Valley.

We stayed in Aquas Calientes and had this wonderful stone city of the Incas almost to ourselves after the day tourists left in the late afternoon. Together with the excellent weather, there were ideal recording conditions.
